Just a 90 minute drive south-east of Hobart lies the stunning Cape Raoul. You can take a hike along the coast to see the mind-blowing coastal seascapes, where lush forests meet the rocky sea-cliffs that plunge into the ocean far below. Take plenty of water and a packed lunch on this 14km, 4.5hour (return) hike, and don’t forget to watch your step around the 300m high cliffs!

The dramatic landforms are the result wave erosion over thousands of years, producing visually striking sea caves, cliffs, stacks, arches and formations.

As well as the un-missable views of the coastline, don't forget to look around you to spot some of the flora and fauna too. The Tasman Peninsula, home to Cape Raoul, is an incredibly biodiverse place, boasting over 500 plant species (1/3 of Tasmania's plant species) and a bunch of cute critters. We spotted some Fur Seals from the end of the track, playing around in the waters at the base of the cliffs.

The Tasman Peninsula contains many world-class walks. The Three-Capes track is a great option for a multi-day hike with exquisite views and lovely huts that have sleeping and cooking gear (even yoga mats!) provided, so you can absorb the scenery without a heavy pack weighing you down.
